So regrets George Moe, a mechanic formerly living in Minot, South Dakota, where the Souris River is letting people know the past 130 years have amounted to just about nothing.

There is something we can do. Cut automobile trips to the essentials.¬†Carpool. Take public transportation. Turn off the Nintendo and turn out the lights. Pick up a rake instead of a gas blower. Tell the Comcast guys to shut off the engine while they’re servicing their customers. Eat raw food, or at least raw cooked, from local vendors. Never accept a plastic bag.

Put your vote where survival is.

Ironic, isn’t it, that while the Chinese are forsaking their ancient bicycles, the Americans are buying up new ones?
